Back by popular demand, Lucy’s Café presents an evening of comedy with Dwayne Kennedy!
Lucy’s Cafe, an eclectic nightclub, showcases brilliant stand-up comedy monthly. Set on stage (you won’t find a bad seat!) with private or community tables and cash bar (credit cards now accepted!), as the lights go down the laughter begins. Enjoy pre- and post-show live jazz music!
When reserving your tickets, pre-order bottles of house red or white wine, buckets of beer or soda and cheese trays. Pre-ordering drinks reserves you the best table available at the time of your order.

Dwayne Kennedy
Dwayne Kennedy, a Chicago native, has developed into one of the nation’s top comedians. His social commentary and satirical diversions demonstrate a comic genius that is truly unique. Touted as “One of Today’s Most Insightful Comedians,” he has performed his stand-up act in comedy clubs nationwide, as well as on television programs that include The Late Show with David Letterman. An accomplished actor, Dwayne has made numerous guest appearances on television programs that include the hit series, Seinfeld and Martin. Included among his many his film credits are How High, Desperation Boulevard, and Amy Stiller’s Breast. Dwayne Kennedy’s comedic style incorporates an exceptional mixture of razor-sharp wit, biting satire, and social consciousness that consistently leaves audiences desperate for more.
TR Benker

His guy-next-door humor takes hold of you and winds up borrowing your lawn mower. He’s real, he has faults, he makes mistakes…TR will give you the reasons why you should love him for who he is.

TR has had the opportunity to cultivate his sense of humor in over 30 states, doing comedy in clubs and colleges, as well as radio gigs in Las Vegas and Houston.

TR has also devoted time to charity events such as Joke Marathons to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Neediest Children’s Fund, the homeless and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He has written and produced “The Very Famous Lance Vegas Show” a musical comedy show that features hilarious audience involved routines, parodies of Sting’s “Desert Rose” and Neil Diamond’s “Forever In Blue Jeans” and You Don’t Bring Me Flowers”. Lance recruits the audience’s help in ‘The Ikea Song” where the crowd adds funny new lyrics to a popular song, which Lance promptly sings. The Lance Vegas Show has appeared in Chicagoland at Zanies Comedy Clubs, COMEDYCOMEDY the Barrel of Laughs, and will be hitting the road in early 2005. Learn more about TR.
