This intermediate-level class builds on the basics of performance (as taught in Beginner Acting Fundamentals) and explores the skills necessary to grow in their craft as young performers. The class will focus on Scene Study, Acting Technique, Improvisation, Voice & Speech, and Movement Techniques. Students will utilize fun theatre games and exercises to build a strong foundation for working in all aspects of the theatre. With an emphasis on collaborative play and imaginative creativity, students will enjoy a full-on theatre experience.
Marge Uhlarik-Boller has worked for decades in Chicago and its area as a director, teacher and actor. She created a theatre program with DaVinci Academy in St. Charles, has taught for Paramount School of the Arts, Aurora University as well as directing approximately 140 productions over the years. As a teacher, she designed courses for the Gifted Association of America, presented with the Illinois Theatre Association and has maintained a private coaching business with up-and-coming talent. She is always happy to share her experience and passion with young actors and performers.
