An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are “bestus” friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She’s even happier and more excited than usual because they have been invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so, begins a day when anything is possible.

We’re in a Play is a song from the musical titled Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” which is based on the Elephant & Piggie books that were written by Mo Willems. The musical is about best friends who show that opposites can be great together and teaches the audience that no matter what happens, friends will still be there. The best part of this song is that it encourages the audience to participate by clapping, dancing, and repeating words. The creator of the Elephant & Piggie characters also wrote the script and lyrics for the play.
