In 2024, Raue Center encountered a stumbling block regarding the ownership of its building located at 26 N Williams Street, Crystal Lake.
The Civic Center Authority, the building’s owner, has been inactive for several years. This issue was flagged when fulfillment of lease obligations became a budgetary concern.
Several regional and national funding sources require clarity on building ownership to dispense funding. As a result, Raue Center has not been able to apply for or receive much of the funding it relies on for its operation.Â
501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status:

Key Programming Areas
Since reopening post-COVID, Raue Center has focused on providing three core programs:
